We all have a checklist when leaving the house for a while. Turn out the lights, set the thermostat, make sure the windows are closed, turn on the security and say goodbye for a while!
Our getaway developed an almost undetectable pinhole water leak in a pipe under the sink. A month later a neighbor checked the house, found the damage and called the water company. Too late!
